The burghers of Voorburg, a largj suburb of The Hague, have presenter an illuminated testimonial containin more than 5000 signatures to tb Royal Air Force as a mark of grat tude for airborne food supplies an as a. tribute to the work of th R.A.F. throughout the war. The presentation was organised b; members of the Portico Club, two c whom, Dutch journalists, Mr. an Mrs. Willink, installed a conceale radio in their home powered by . dynamo driven by a bicycle, the Gei mans having cut off the electri supply for Voorburg. An electric razor was also coi! nected to the dynamo so that in th| event of a German raid while Mi and Mrs. Willink were taking sJior hand notes of a 8.8.C. news buiieti the radio could be hastily conceale and Mr. Willink could disarm sui picion by starting to shave, thi explaining the presence of th dynamo. In this way the German! were tricked for four years.
