OBJECTIONABLE BROADCASTS
Rec. 10 a.m. MELBOURNE, this day.
Following complaints that objectable matter had been broadcast from commercial radio stations, the Post-master-General, Senator G. Cameron, banned certain persons from making broadcasts for periods of upward of i three months.
: Senator Cameron said the proiprietoit&" of "the..stations concerned hard been'warned that their licenses may he. suspended in the event of further offences. Previous warnings had fallen on deaf ears, he added, so he had no alternative but to take drastic action to impress producers and artists that good taste must be observed.
