A message from Nairobi states that 33 people were killed iri. two plane crashes within 24 hours at Kisumu, on Lake Victoria.
When a Catalina flying boat crashed this morning five Royal Air Force men were . killed*. and five injured. Twenty-four passengers .and the crew of'four were, killed, when a South' .African Air . Force Dakota plane crashed yesterday.. ' ; 'All 'of the passengers were ex-prisoners of war who were ■ returning from the Mediterranean. ■ • ;•' ■-
Night flying in the Kisumu' area has been suspended, pending an inquiry.
