TERMS OF SURRENDER
An amusing incident occurred just before an Allied party captured 2 town during the iast few days of fighting in Germany. They ran into a group of German soldiers waving a white flag. They told them which way to make their surrender official. But the group was rather apprehensive. What, they asked, should thev say when they got there to express their wish to surrender? American Sergeant Arthur supplied the answer. ! He wrote the words down on a piece of paper. The prisoners walked off already learning their piece. "Vee '. hef had it." they were muttering as ; they marched.
