NO REPLY FROM GOVERNMENT

"The whole scheme will be impracticable unless the City Council, is given the buildings by the Government," declared the Mayor, Mr. Allum, this morning when commenting that the council had received no reply from the Government regarding its request that four military buildings on Victoria Park be made available free of cost for conversion into transit housing units.
