MANUFACTURERS' PLAINT Rec. 1 p.m. SYDNEY,' this day. According to the president of the Queensland Chamber of Manufacturers, Mr. E. S. Irvine, goods to the value of millions of coupons are held up by manufacturers and the larger wholesale softgoods distributors in Sydney and Melbourne because of the severe clothing coupon scale. Mr. Irvine said a recent revision of the coupon scale was a poor gesture by the Commonwealth Government. There might be some excuse for not reducing the I coupon scale tor cotton goods, which were in short supply, but restrictions on the purchase of woollen materials should be relaxed I considerably. 1 Manufacturers and larger retailers 1 were concerned about the amount of 1 clothing they would not be able to I dispose of this winter..
