War Labour Board, in an unprecedented action in Federal labour relations, cracked down on New York's striking newspaper deliverers, who ignored the order to return to work this morning, reports the World Telegrarii. A spokesman for the board said that no word was received from the attorney for the strikers, therefore the publishers were now free to disregard the closed shop, preferential union hiring, and retrospective wage adjustments. The New York Publishers' Association said' that machinery was now in motion to restore as rapidly as possible the full and normal delivery of the newspapers affected by the 11-day-old strike. _____
