MOTOR CHASSES
IMPORTATIONS FROM U.K. It has been decided to grant licenses for the importation of unassembled commercial vehicle chasses from the United Kingdom during 1946 to the extent of 100 per cent of the value of Imports of such goods from that source in 1938, advises the Customs Department, Auckland. The licenses will be available also for the entry of chasses Imported in 1945. Notwithstanding that the supply position in the United Kingdom is as yet somewhat Indefinite the allocation is being fixed at this stage to enable those importers whose principals are in a position to supply to proceed with the placing of orders. The position may be reviewed at a later date in the light of circumstances then obtaining.
