BdWden • (Nat> Wellington - West), when continuing his..- Address-in-Reply speech.inrthe.House of Representatives, yesterday, afternoon Mr Bowden said he was informed.that many members-of-the. Civil Service felt they could be more effectively employed in other than the Government service, -A number"of. persons held against their will could be better employed if released from the servile- he said, to make a special plea for temporary civil servants.'Numbers of temporary officers had chances, to obtain employment for which they were suited outside the Civil Service, but the Government refused to release them.
