GOOD PRODUCE SUPPLIES
There were heavy supplies of cauliflower, onions and carrots at the city markets to-day, and prices were low. First grade pumpkin and parsnips were in keen demand. Local hothouse tomatoes showed a slight increase in values. A good demand took place for good quality grapefruit and Chinese gooseberries. Flowers were in short supply. Demand was keen and prices were high. Quotations: —

Poultry.—The supply was fair and the demand was keen. Prices remained unchanged. Selling ratee were:—Cockerels: Heavy breeds, prime, 8/ to 12/ each; not prime. 5/ to 6/; light breeds, prime, 5/ to II; not prime, 3/6 to 4/6. Hens: Heavy breeds, 8/ to 7/; light breeds, 4/ to 5/. Pullets: Heavy breeds, best, 9/ to 10/6; smaller. 5/ up; light breeds, beet, II; smaller. 3/. Drakes, young, prime, 5/ to II; smaller. 3/ up. Ducks, young, 5/ to 6/: old. 3/6 to 31. Geese, 5/. Turkey hens, 10/ to 12/. Gobblers. 15/ to £1 3/S.
