"The war has made trading increasingly difficult, with its necessary controls both of imports and exports," said Mr. Alec Nathan, chairman of Joseph Nathan and Company, Limited, referring to New Zealand business at the annual meeting in London. "Nevertheless, our staff have, much to their credit, surmounted all difficulties and the profit from the business is a little better than in the previous I year."
