BREWERY SHARES HIGH

WILSONS CEMENT RECOVER*

A strong tone was maintained on the Auckland Stock Exchange to-day with the market, especially the Government section, generally under-supplied. New Zealand Breweries attracted attention with a sale 71d up at £2 6/3, compared with £2 3/ early in the year. Other shares to show movement were Commercial Banks, offers for which were raised another 2d on yesterday's quote, and Wilsons Cements, which recovered to 19/ with unsatisfied buyers remaining in at that. The improvement in the base metal outlook was reflected with a sale of Electrolytic Zinz preferences at £2 18/6, a rise of 1/9 on March valuation.
