The proposed visit by the Balmain League Club's senior team to Auckland later in the season was discussed at a meeting of the Board of Control of the Auckland Rugby League last evening. The Balmain Club advised that travelling arrangements had not been finalised. The board decided to * adhere to its present programme, and to offer to arrange matches for the visitors in Auckland on October 13, 20 and • 22, with the possibility of a match on Wednesday, October 17. . The chairman, Mr. J. W. Watson, said that the position at the moment was uncertain, but the trip, if it could be arranged, would have a lot to commend it. Mr. J. Clark suggested that the North v. South match could be aet aside to fit in a date for the Balmain club. Other speakers pointed out that the North v. South match had been agreed to, and certain arrangements had already been made. . Mr. D. Wilkie said that the visit would be a big attraction. If the tour interfered with club matches compensation to clubs, for loss of revenue could be made. The question of a curtain-raiser to the representative match against "Wellington in Auckland on July 21 was left in the hands of the Junior Control Board. The Wellington Rugby League advised that its representative team would play a match, at Huntly on Sunday, July 22. Fixtures for Saturday Fixtures for next Saturday are:— "ait Albert v.
