TAKING OF NOTES
WARNING BY AUTHORITY
A question as to whether notes of proceedings could be taken by members of the public was asked by Mr. Greenberg, Crown representative, at to-day's sitting of the No. 1 Revision Authority, Mr. A. H. Johnstone, K.C., when the hearing of applications for release of military defaulters was continued.
Mr. Greenberg drew the Authority's attention to the fact that certain scurrilous documents were being circulated, and that the police were giving attention to them. Mr. Johnstone replied that he had given no authority for the publication of the documents and no one could publish reports of the proceedings without his authority.
