Rec. 11. WASHINGTON, June 28. Mr. R. P. Patterson, UnderSecretary of War, announced that General Mark Clark, Allied commander in Italy, has been appointed chief of the United States occupation forces in Austria, which will be occupied in much the same manner as Germany With one zone for each major Power.
