SPORT TO-MORROW

FOOTBALIj attractions An attractive League programme has been arranged for to-morrow when the Maoris win play the Pakehas at Carlaw Park in the annual fixture in aid of the injured players' fund. The Maoris have an impressive record against the Pakehas, having been successful In winning three out of the last five games played. Two were drawn matches. However, the Pakeha thirteen for to-morrow is a very fast and well-balanced team. The speedy three-quarter line, Nordgren, Wiles and Nurse, may carry too many guns for the Maori backs, and it will be an advantage to have Rutherford getting the ball from the scrums. The appearance of Pedley on the wing for the Maoris will be watched with interest as the Mount Albert three-quarter is a dashing player. In the game played last season the Maoris won by 19 points to 13. Both teams play fast and spectacular football, and there is every indication that followers of the code will not be disappointed with the standard of football.

The following team had been selected by Mr. E. Asher to represent the Maoris:— Silva, Padley, Salaia, Butler, Murray, Rogers. Major, Hilton, Te Tai, Thompson, Mitchell, Ririnui, Shilton. Reserves: Backs, Rangi, Kirkwood; 'forwards, Sullivan, Briggs. The Leaorue ladder is:—
