Splendid acceptances were receive yesterday for the opening day of Qj e Wellington Racing Club's winter meeting which will be held at Trentham on July 7 and 14. The southern club does u 0 t favour divisions, and some horses were balloted out of the Woburn Hack and the Whyte Handicap, principal flat race, and one Of those affected in the AVhyte Royal Flight, which had been favourite in preliminary discussions. ; a

Notable defections were the Great Northern Steeplechase winner, Dauber, from the Wellington Steeplechase, arid.
