Captain A. F. Mackay, of Auckland, has been awarded the Military Cross. Captain Maelcay left New Zealand with the First Echelon and was wounded at El Alamein. Following a period of furlough in the Dominion, he returned to the Middle East and Italy. He is a member of the Ponsonby Rugby Football Club.
