"NEXT GOVERNOR-GENERAL" Rec. 10 a.m. ; LONDON, June 21. Dominion circles in London are discussing the possibility that General Sir Bernard Freyberg, Commander of the Second N.Z.E.F., may be the next Governor-General of New Zealand, says the Evening Standard diarist "I have heard it said," the diarist writes, "that General Freyberg's withdrawal from his proposed candidature for the Prospelthorne seat in Middlesex at the general election next month was to leave him free for the post of Governor-General. Lady Freyberg, an active worker at the Fearnleaf Club, who has never been to New Zealand, has heard reports but told me that she had received no confirmation of them fiom her husband."-
