NEARLY 1000 CANDIDATES Nine hundred and sixty-five candidates have been nominated for the Canadian general election which is to be held on June 11. This total comprises 235 . Liberals, 204 Progressive-Conservatives, 205 Cooperative Commonwealth Federation candidates, 94 Social Credit candidates, 69 Labour-Progressive candidates, and 178 others. Three-cornered fights predominate, with 107 listed. The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. W. L. Mackenzie King, has Progressive-Conservative, Social Credit and" C.C.F. opponents in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. Of the provinces, Quebec' with 294 has the largest number of candidates.
