PROFESSOR'S DEATH

A resolution expressing regret at the. death of Professor T. L. Lancaster, associate professor of botany at Auckland University College, was passed at yesterday's meeting of the college council. A fund was being raised to establish a memorial to Professor Lancaster, stated a circular from Mr. L. H. Millener, of the botany department. The council approved the suggestion that interest from the fund should be used to establish a prize of books to be competed for by botany students.
