MORE PETITIONS HEARD

More undefended petitions for divorce were heard, by Mr. Justice Calla.il in. tn Supreme Court to-day. On the ground of adultery Harry Spencer Colston (Mr., Thwaites) sought divorce from Myrtle Noreen Colston, Percy Bygrave being named as colepPe°UUoner said that while overseas wiih the New Zealand Forces he received a letter from his wife saying that she was going to have a child. Hp returned in July, 1943, and saw his wife and the baby. His wife admitted Bygrave was the father of the child, and Bygrave also admitted it. A decree nisi was granted, with costs against the co-respondent. Stating that his wife deserted him in August, 1944, and subsequently was found living in a flat with Clive Smith, Edward Glink (Mr. Robinson) was granted a divorce nisi against Elsie May Glink, on the ground of her adultery with Smith. When petitioner suggested to her she Should return to him she replied that she loved Smith. Adultery was also the ground upon which Edna Young was granted a dacree nisi against Walter Young. On the ground of separation for a period of three years or more, decrees nisi were granted in the following cases: Dorothy Margaret Chetwin •'tMr. Fraser) v. Harry Chetwin; Melva Florence Victoria Coomber (Mr. Nutsford) v. Tul George Charles Coomber. Because the respondent had failed to comply with ian order to return, a decree nisi was granted in the case of Roy Cecil Butland (Mr. Hart) v. Audrey Catherine Butland. Proving desertion a decree nisi was granted Caroline Maud Jamieson (Mr. Nutsford) against William Barr Jamieson. Ordered to Return In the following cases orders for restitution were made, the respondents to return within 28 days: Joseph Williams (Mr. Martelli) v. Jeane Williams; Georga Murray (Mr. Fitzherbert) v. Ann Meron Nellie Sylvia Murray.
