KING LEOPOLD ILL

Suffering From Acute Heart

Trouble TOO ILL TO BE MOVED Rec. 8.30 a.m. LONDON, May 20. An official bulletin broadcast by Brussels radio states that King Leopold is suffering from acute heart trouble and cannot be moved. The bulletin was signed by the King's physician, and added that a United States medical officer and a specialist had been called in. Immediately after his liberation from captivity in Germany, the King wrote to his brother, Prince Charles, who last September became Prince Regent, asking him to continue as Regent. The King explained that his health would not allow him to take up his Royal functions. With his wife and children, the King is now staying at Sanwolfgang, Austria.
