General Election BIG THREE DELIBERATIONS Rec. noon. LONDON, May 20. The Labour party's Big Three, Mr. C. R. Attlee, Mr. Herbert Morrison, and Mr. Ernest Bevin, to-night deliberated at length on the question of a general election, says the Daily Mail political correspondent. They attended a meeting of the executive committee and discussed all issues involved in a break-up of the Coalition.

The Press Association understands that the Labour party's national executive has received a message from Mr. Churchill through Mr. Attlee suggesting that the Coalition continue until after the defeat of Japan, or alternatively that a general election be held. A general election in July is now more than ever likely, says the Parliamentary correspondent of The Times, who points out that most Labour Ministers opposed the continuance of the Coalition for the period .of the Japanese war, and the Labour party conference, which opens at Blackpool on Monday, is expected to support their view. Saying that the general election would be the "most important in the history of the country," Mr. Herbert Morrison, addressing a Labour party demonstration at Blackpool to-day on the eve of the party conference there, added: "We would all like to tell you the exact date of the election. The truth is we are not sure. Nobody knows yet."
