VICTORY LOAN
NEARING HALF WAY
AUCKLAND'S 53 PER CENT
P.A. WELLINGTON, Sunday. It was announced last night that the total of the 1945 Victory Loan was £11,790,563, including new cash receipts of £99,705. The amounts and percentages of objective of the 20 war loan districs are now as follow:—
Wellington, £1,946,504 (53 per cent); Auckland, £3,078,770 (53); Southland, £660,857 (52); Otaeo £1,088,593 (48); Wairarapa, £182,566 (47); South Canterbury, £274,610 (46); Wanganui, £356,912 (46); No/th Otago, £108,328 (45); Marlborough, £112,570 (44); Northland, £194,686 (43); Taranaki, £406,368 (43); Nelson, £220,752 (42); Westland, £139,223 (42); Gisborne-East Coast, £182,293 (42); Hawke's Bay, £394,491 (41); WaikatoKing Country, £550,528 (41); Manawatu, £448,499 (41); Buller, £41,979 (40); Canterbury, £1,813,159 (40); Thames-Bay of Plenty, £218,875 (40).
