LICENSING COMMISSION
The Royal Commission on Licensing did not sit in Auckland to-day. At the conclusion of yesterday's hearing an adjournment until Monday morning was called Recommendations that wider powers to be given to licensing committees were made by Frederick Alexander Harcombe, a farmer of Waiuku, when giving evidence before the commission yesterday afternoon. Witness said he had been a member of a licensing committee, but he felt that, as present constituted the committee performed no useful service.
