Mount Albert Beats League Leaders In Fast Game: Manukau Recovers: Otahuhu and Maris t Are Winners Playing a wonderful up-hill game, Manukau beat City by 21 points to 13 in the main match at Carlaw Park this afternoon, when the Auckland Rugby League's senior championship matches were continued. City led 10—2 at half-time. In the second half Manukau made it an open game, threw the ball about at every opportunity, and added 19 points to its score. T. Chase had a field day, his individual contribution being six goals. Simpson, the young City wing, showed brilliant speed, and got three tries. Silva, the City captain, kicked two goals. The surprise of the day was the defeat of Richmond, the leader, by Mt. Albert, the score being 11 points to 7. The latter showed much-improved team play. Marist beat an improved North Shore team by 17 points to I 10, and-Otahuhu beat Ponsonby by 17 points to 5.
