MANPOWER COMMITTEE
MR. J. O. LIDDLE RESIGNS
Announcement was made to-day of the resignation on account of illhealth of Mr. J. O. Liddle, chairman of the Auckland Industrial Manpower Committee. Mr. Liddell, who has been chairman of the committee since its inception early in 1942, has recently suffered in health, and for the past six weeks has been unable to preside over the sittings cf the committee.
A letter has been sent by the members and deputy members of the committee to Mr. Liddell expressing the esteem in which they hold him and their regret at his resignation, and hoping that he will make a speedy recovery in health. The deputy-chairman, Mr. H. Campbell, is presiding over the committee in the meantime.
