POPE'S PLEA FOR PEACE
CHURCH'S POLICY OUTLINED Rec. 11.30 a.m. ROME, April 29. The Pope, in a speech to members of the Italian Catholic Action party, hoped for a peace providing for Italy's Christian aspirations. He reaffirmed the Church's policy to combat social doctrines contrary to Christian principles. He declared that the Church supported the desires of the working class within limits which respected the rights of other classes.
