N.Z.P.A. and British Wireless Rec. 1 p.m. LONDON, April 29. Food dropped by R.A.F. Lancasters to-day to the Dutch in enemy occupied Holland fell in The Hague, Rotterdam and Leydan, according to the Netherlands news agency. The sacks dropped contained meat, vegetables, flour, milk, margarine, sugar, tea, cheese and yeast. The Lancasters in the food dropping operation carried up to 62801b each, a day's rations for 3000 people. They dropped their loads on the airfields at The Hague, Rotterdam and Leyden, and on the racecourse at The Hague. Tne pilots told of streets lined with cheering people. The operation had been postponed for four days because of the weather. The Lancasters flew in at under 500 feet, and the procession continued for 90 minutes. The Germans did not interfere and all the aircraft returned. . Supreme Headquarters to-night promised another delivery of food to-morrow if the weather permitted. The Lancasters dropped 600 tons of supplies.
