SLIGHT DECREASE RECORDED A net profit of £12.904, compared with £13.117 last year and £14.029 in 1943, is shown in the accounts of Bycroft, Ltd., for the year ended March 31. Gross profit from trading was £91,973, compared with £97,656 last year. The directors recommend a final dividend of 4 per cent, absorbing £6000, making S per cent for the year, unchanged. The main items in the balance-sheet, with those for last year in parentheses, are as follows:—Liabilities: Capital. £150,000 (same); reserves, £70,765 (168,424); creditors, including taxation, £79,424 (£81.148); profit, and loss appropriation account, £16,803 (£13,899). Assets: Land £17,01G (same); buildings, £63.241 U6G.120); machinery and plant, £29.388 (£36,710); debtors, £42,373 (£36,381); investments and cash at bank, £128,298 (£64,;517): slock, £35,233 (£93,721); total assets, £316,993 (£31."i,471). The retiring director eligible for reelection at the annual meeting on May 11 is Mr. E. H. Rhodes.
