SERVICE WEDDING
CORFIELD—-PILKINGTON BRIDE IN WHITE ORGANDIE The marriage took place at the Pitt Street Methodist Church on Saturday evening of Miss Bonnie Pilkington, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. Pilkington, of Jessel Street, Grey Lynn, to L.A.C. John Corfield, R.N.Z.A.F. (returned overseas), only son of Mr. and Mrs. S. Corfield, of Carlton Gore Road. The Rev. E. T. Olds officiated. The bride wore a lovely gown of white organdie with pin-tucked yoke edged with organdie flowers A trail of the same flowers was on the very full skirt and train. A plain tulle veil was held in place by a heartshaped coronet 1 rimmed with orange blossom and a sheaf of white flowers was carried. Attending as matron of honour was Mrs. Reginald Nixon, and as bridesmaid, Miss Joan Aussel. They wore frocks of floral sprigged organdie with picture hats to match and carried shower bouquets. The best man was Mr. Brian Smith and the groomsman, L.A.C. Reginald Nixon, R.N.Z.A.F. A reception was held at the New Savoy, the bride's mother receiving her "guests in navy cloque with matching accessories. The mother of the bridegroom was in turquoise with black accessories.
