ENEMY SHOT INTO SEA
MOSQUITOES , SWIFT SUCCESS Rec. 1.30 p.m. RUGBY, April 22. A large formation of Mosquitoes of the R.A.F. Coastal Command was returning across the North Sea from a reconnaissance in the Kattegatt on Saturday afternoon when it encountered a force of 18 torpedo bombers flying in formation towards the coast of Scotland. The Mosquitoes immediately attacked the enemy from dead astern, and without loss to themselves shot down nine aircraft into the sea. Mosquitoes last night attacked Kiel.
