A ROYAL PENNY
A challenge from a Princess was the unexpected experience of a four-year-old boy whose mother took him to Madame Tussaud's. It came from Princess Alexandra, who was there with her mother, the Duchess of Kent, and the young Duke. The Princess was about to put a penny in the slot of a "racing machine when she noticed the little.boy at her side. "Would you like to race me?" she asked, and he nodded. The Princess won, and when the penny dropped out she said: "Would you like my penny?" Before the boy could answer she pressed the penny into his hand and did not wait for. his "thank you."
