PLANE'S FATAL DIVE
YOUNG SERGEANT'S FATE
P.A. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. As a result of an aircraft crash at Raumai shortly after noon the pilot was killed. He was Sergeant Wilson Alexander, aged 21, of Bay of Islands. Sergeant Alexander was flying a Kittyhawk from the Ohakea station and was engaged in ground firing practise. The aircraft dived to the ground and the. pilot was killed instantly. He joined the R.N.Z.A.F. in June, 1943. Before enlistment he was employed on his father's farm at Okaihau.
