MANY APPLICANTS
The appointment of Mr. D. Elder as assistant secretary was announced at to-day's meeting of the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce. The president, Mr. F. G. Baskett, said many applications had been received and the selection committee had no easy task in making a choice.
