INTEREST IN GEOGRAPHY
In order to give greater opportunities for the development of interest in geography, it is proposed to form a Geographical Association in Auckland as a branch of the New Zealand Geographical Society. Branches have already been formed in Chrlstchurch and Wellington. The activities of the Auckland Association will be determined by the wishes of the members, but at the moment it is suggested that they will include lectures, excursions and the showing of films. A meeting to establish the new association will be held in the Auckland University College Hall to-morrow evening, when Dr. G. Jobberns, D.Sc, professor of geography, Canterbury University College, will deliver an address on "Geography and National Development." '
