The King, has- approved of the following awards to personnel of the Second New Zealand Expeditionary Force in the Middle East in recognition of their gallant and distinguished conduct in the field:— Military Cross. — Major W. S. Jordan, M.8.E., of Hamilton. Military Medal.—Sergeant R. A. Hooper, of Greenmeadows; Temp.-Warrant-Officer L. N. Northover, of Wanganui; ■ Staff-Sergeant D. C. Perkins (killed in action, February, 1944), of Christchurch.
