BRIDE WEARS DUSKY PINK
The wedding took place at St. Barnabas' Church, Mount Eden, of. Gwen Marjorie, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Ellis, of Mount Eden, to Mr. Duncan Macfarlane (returned, 2nd N.Z.E.F., Middle East), youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Macfar-' lane, of Avondale South. The Rev. Monteith officiated.
The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming short frock of dusky pink silk "crepe, with the yoke and waist embroidered in pastel blue. She wore a pink felt picture hat and carried a bouquet of pink roses and hydrangeas. The bridesmaid, Miss Marjorie Leahy, wore a frock of pastel blue with a gathered yoke and a picture hat to match, and she carried a bouquet in shades of blue. The best man was Mr. R. Crombie (returned, M.E.F.). The reception was held at the Mount Eden Tea Kiosk, where Mrs. Ellis received her guests wearing a rust silk suit and spray to tone and black vaccessories. Mrs. Macfarlane was in a wine silk suit with a spray, and black accessories.
