AUSTRALIAN WAGES
CANBERRA, Feb. 2. The Government had decided to ease the wage-pegging regulations, said the Prime Minister, Mr. Curtin, to-day. He said amendments had been"made to the national security regulatior.s to make wage-fixing mure flexible. The amendments provided that changed circumstances in employment since wages were fixed in February, 1942, would be valid grounds for wage increases.
