BULGARIAN REGENTS 50,000 People In Sofia Cry Death To Fascists N.Z. Press Association—Copyright Rec. noon. LONDON, Feb. 2. A People's Court at Sofia sentenced to death on charges of treason 'the former Bulgarian Regent, Prince Cyril, who is a brother of the late King Boris; a former Prime Minister and Regent, Filov; and General Mikhov, also a Regent. Twentyone others, including a former Prime Minister, Bojiloff, were also sentenced to death.
Prince Cyril, Filov and Mikhov were executed in Sofia last night, says Ankara radio. Fifty thousand people simultaneously demonstrated in the streets of the city, shouting: "Death to Fascists. Death to the murderers of our people." The death sentences passed by the People's Court totalled more than *100, including 22 former Cabinet Ministers and 68 deputies. A further 23 deputies were sentenced to life imprisonment. The arrests of Prince Cyril, Filov, Mikov and Bojiloff by the Russians were reported to have taken place last September.
