FAMILY TRAGEDY
AIRMAN AND WIFE INQUEST RESUMED j The inquest concerning the deaths of a New Zealand airman, FlightSergeant Irving Fairfax Carlsen, aged 32, and his wife, Mary Emma Carlsen, aged 26, was resumed before the coroner, Mr. Alfred Addison, this afternoon.
Carlsen and his wife were found dead on the morning of November 3 at their home, 53, Ardmore Road, Heme Bay. Each had a gunshot wound in the head and a .22 rifle was found.'Jyirig--beside., the .airman. The discovery was made, by, the father of the airman when he called about 10 a.m. The tragedy is believed to have occurred several hours before that. time. Flight-Sergeant Carlsen had served in the R.N.Z.A.F. for about four years and had returned home about-;? two weeks prior to the tragedy.
