With record entries* in that' horse events, spectacular jumping witnessed in the hunting * section* ai"' horses competed in the semi-finals > aad> finals. Numerically, the entries easily surpassed all previous records, W the grand parade this afternoon provided an impressive illustration of the dairvKe wealth of the rich Waikato district.
The morning '.vas fully occupied mjfc the judging of further cattle, horssiaafl sheep classes, while there was also dancing, baconer and shearing competi. tions, the finals of the dbg trials, a, marching display, and the flower show.
Yesterday the judges of the vaxkxx sections commented in high terms on the general cuality of the display which lad been maintained so well throughout the war years.
