MISSION ACTIVITIES
FUNDS FOR NEW BUILDING
The Auckland Central Mission of the Methodist Church (Airedale Street) experiencd a successful year. At the quarterly meeting presided over by the Rev. A. Mitchell, it was stated that the Rev. A. Everil Orr was on tour, raising funds for a proposed new building for the mission, which was estimated to cost £50,000. The amount it hand, or promised was £31,500.
The income of the circuit for the year was £1273, and receipts for social and benevolent work £2902. Considerable improvements were made at the Campbell Bay health camp, and all branches of work showed headway.
An unanimous invitation was given to the superintendent minister, Mr. Orr, to remain a thirteenth year in that position. It was reported that the members of the mission will meet the expenses incurred in his canvassing tour, so that ajl donations can be given to the building fund.
