A CHANCE X-RAY
LONDON. Four months ago Lord Davles, Welsh coal magnate, philanthropist and pioneer in the fight against tuberculosis, inaugurated a mobile cine-camera X-ray unit in Cardiff. He was the. first "patient" to enter the converted bus housing the unit and have his lungs X-rayed.
Later the film was shown on a screen. Specialists watching the demonstration were surprised to see suspicious shadows. For the first time Lord Davies became aware that he had a disease of the lungs. He has died at Llandinam, Montgomeryshire, aged 63.
