RAID AT WHANGAKEI
COMMON GAMING HOUSES
(0.C.) WHANGAREI, this clay. Fines totalling £300 were imposed this morning on four men who pleaded guilty to charges of keeping premises as common gaming houses. Their appearance before Messrs. W. Jones W. Reynolds, J.P.'s, was a sequel to raids carried out this morning by Detective-Sergeant J. B. Finlay, Sergeant H. J. Harrington, Detective G. S. Miller and Constables C. Snow, A. L. MacPherson, M. Rogers and T. Agnew.
Charles C. Shon and Allan Arthur Anrelo were each fined £100, John Alexander Tuohy £60, and Neil Gordon McLeod McKinnon £40.
