MILE TRACK RECORD
Gold Bar's Attempt, <P.A.) GREYMOTJTH, this day. At the Greymouth Trotting Club's meeting this afternoon Gold Bar, driven by the veteran, Free Holmes, made an attempt on the track record for the mile of 2.5, established by Harold Logan in 1933. Hampered by a fresh easterly wind, Gold Bar recorded 2.7. The first half mile was run in 1.2, and the last in 1.5.
