MAORI GIFT TO SCHOOL
In memory of their late chief, Mr. H. Tai Mitchell, the Arawa Confederation of Tribes presented an enlarged photograph of the ancestral hall, Tamatekapua, at Ohinemutu, to the Northcote High School on Saturday. The picture, which is mounted in a Maori carved frame, will be hung in the school gallery. It was brought from Rotorua and presented to the chairman of the school committee, Mr. A- Hadfield, by a delegation of five from the Arawa Trust Board, Major H. R. Vercoe, Captain J. Z. Mitchell, Mr. Kepa Ehau, deputy-chairman of the joard, Mr.' T. K. Thompson and Mr. R. Carnachan,
