EXPLOSION AT TAKAPUKA A heavy explosion heard by residents of Belmont and Takapuna on Thursday night, is believed to have been caused by the detonation of some dynamite. After a newspaper report of the explosion a man called on the Takapuna police and informed them that on Thursday night he met a soldier in the vicinity of Eversleigh Road.
