BAPTIST TABERNACLE
DR. HODGE'S MINISTRY ..There was an aggregate attendance of from 1600 to 1700 at the services held at the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle yesterday in celebration of the tenth anniversary of the arrival of the •jastor, Dr. Alexander Hodge, in New Zealand. Congratulations were v Meed by-Mr. A. Cutforth, senior elder, and Mr. Ernest Eady, the secretary of the church, Opportunity was taken of launching financially the newly-formed Tabernacle Evangelisation Society, which will train young men and women for work in New Zealand as well as in foreign countries. The sum donated to the society in addition to the ordinary collections totalled over .£I9OO, of which over £700 was donated in cash. It is expected that £2000 will be collected in this initial effort.
